1. Overview
TaskMint provides a platform where customers may post local tasks and workers may choose to submit quotes for those tasks. These Terms apply to all users of TaskMint, including customers, workers, visitors, and anyone who accesses or uses TaskMint services.
By accessing or using TaskMint, you agree to these Terms and any additional policies referenced by TaskMint, including the Privacy Policy, safety guidance, payment rules, cancellation rules, dispute procedures, and platform notices.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding agreements to use TaskMint. You may not use TaskMint if your account has been suspended, deactivated, restricted, or removed, unless TaskMint gives written permission.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of TaskMint complies with all laws, rules, regulations, licensing requirements, permits, tax obligations, and insurance obligations that apply to you.
3. TaskMint's Role
TaskMint is a technology platform. TaskMint does not directly perform tasks, hire workers to perform customer tasks, employ workers, supervise task performance, control how workers perform services, or guarantee that any customer or worker will complete a task.
Workers using TaskMint are independent users of the platform and are not employees, agents, partners, franchisees, joint venturers, or representatives of TaskMint. Customers are responsible for deciding whether to accept a quote, hire a worker, allow entry onto property, or continue with a task.
4. Accounts
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating or using an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login information and for all activity under your account.
TaskMint may suspend, restrict, deactivate, or delete accounts that appear to violate these Terms, create safety concerns, involve fraud, misuse the platform, provide false information, avoid fees, interfere with another user, or create legal or operational risk.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate task descriptions, dates, locations, photos, and instructions.
- Reviewing worker profiles, quotes, ratings, reviews, and task details before choosing a worker.
- Making safe decisions about hiring, meeting, property access, and task conditions.
- Ensuring the task location is safe, lawful, and accessible.
- Paying required charges, fees, cancellation amounts, and approved task amounts.
- Confirming task completion honestly and submitting reviews in good faith.
6. Worker Responsibilities
Workers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate profile, skill, availability, quote, and payout information.
- Only accepting tasks they are qualified, legally allowed, and able to perform.
- Following applicable laws, licensing rules, permit requirements, safety rules, and tax obligations.
- Completing accepted work in a professional, lawful, and safe manner.
- Communicating honestly with customers through TaskMint where required.
- Not misrepresenting services, experience, identity, pricing, availability, or task status.
7. Quotes, Tasks, and Task Status
Customers may post tasks, and workers may submit quotes. A quote does not guarantee that the worker will be selected, that the customer will accept, or that a task will occur. TaskMint may display task status, messages, arrival code activity, completion updates, and dispute information for platform tracking.
Users agree not to manipulate task status, arrival codes, completion confirmations, messages, reviews, quotes, payments, or disputes.
8. Payments, Payouts, Fees, and Taxes
TaskMint may collect payment from customers and facilitate payouts to workers through third-party payment processors. Platform fees, payment processor fees, cancellation fees, refund rules, and payout timing may apply.
Workers are responsible for all taxes, reporting, licenses, insurance, and expenses related to the services they provide. TaskMint does not guarantee any specific worker earnings, payout timing, task volume, customer demand, or income.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
TaskMint may apply cancellation rules based on the timing of cancellation, task status, worker time reserved, payment status, and platform policies. Cancellation amounts may be deducted from refunds or paid in part to workers when allowed by TaskMint policy.
Refunds, credits, payout adjustments, and cancellation decisions are subject to TaskMint review and any applicable payment processor limitations.
10. Ratings, Reviews, and Public Content
Customers may be allowed to leave ratings and reviews for workers. Workers may be allowed to respond to reviews where available. Reviews must be honest, relevant, lawful, and based on actual task experience.
TaskMint may remove, hide, restrict, or review content that appears false, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, harassing, defamatory, fraudulent, unrelated, or otherwise in violation of platform rules.
11. Safety and Due Diligence
TaskMint does not guarantee the conduct, identity, background, qualifications, insurance, licensing, ability, reliability, safety, or legality of any customer, worker, task, location, or service.
Customers and workers are responsible for using their own judgment, taking reasonable precautions, reviewing available information, asking questions, verifying details, and making safe decisions before meeting, hiring, accepting work, entering a location, allowing property access, or continuing a task.
TaskMint is not an emergency service. If there is immediate danger, injury, medical emergency, criminal activity, or urgent safety risk, contact 911 or local emergency services first.
12. Disputes and Support
TaskMint may provide support tools for users to submit disputes, reports, screenshots, photos, messages, task information, payment details, and other evidence. TaskMint may review disputes and may make platform decisions, including payment adjustments, account restrictions, content removal, or other actions.
TaskMint does not guarantee that a dispute will be resolved in any user's favor or that a specific result will occur.
13. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not:
- Use TaskMint for illegal, unsafe, fraudulent, harmful, or deceptive activity.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, stalk, or abuse another user.
- Bypass TaskMint payments, fees, arrival codes, messaging, or platform rules.
- Submit false reports, fake reviews, fake quotes, false task details, or misleading profile information.
- Upload malware, spam, harmful code, stolen content, private data, or unlawful material.
- Impersonate another person, create fake accounts, or use another user's account without permission.
- Interfere with platform security, payment systems, databases, accounts, or operations.
14. Disclaimers and Limits of Liability
TaskMint is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, TaskMint disclaims warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, safety, and uninterrupted operation.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, TaskMint is not liable for damages, losses, injuries, property damage, personal injury, death, emotional distress, lost profits, lost business, lost data, lost income, payment disputes, user conduct, task quality, task results, worker performance, customer conduct, unsafe locations, third-party services, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TaskMint, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, affiliates, agents, and representatives from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of TaskMint, your task activity, your services, your property, your conduct, your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your dispute with another user.
16. Changes to Terms
TaskMint may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms may be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of TaskMint after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
